I have a collection of failed dip-dye paintings and test strips that I've been hanging on to for the past couple years without plan or agenda to use them, till now.
I've been loving the process of playing with abstraction via collage. Swiping out this piece for that piece, tearing this strip here and leaving a straight edge there; it's such a responsive and immediate tool for figuring out how to tackle non-representation.
I'm planning on adding a few framed pieces in my Etsy shop in the near future to see if there's interest. Regardless, I feel this compulsive need to keep making them, so I'm going to roll with it... more to come!
